Brian Lane is our most senior Project Manager at Gibson Sound and Vision, where he helps bring smart homes and top-tier audio/video systems to life. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, he’s a certified Control4 Automation Programmer and PCNA Network Administrator who knows how to turn complex technology into simple, intuitive solutions for clients.
Brian’s favorite part of the job is working directly with customers—helping them imagine what’s possible and delivering results that often go beyond what they thought was achievable. Whether it’s a fully automated home or a custom AV setup, Brian’s attention to detail and friendly, down-to-earth approach make the process smooth and enjoyable.
Outside of work, Brian is a self-proclaimed tech nerd—something that started early in life with a passion for computers, space, and video games. He’s also an avid LEGO collector with an impressive collection that proves you’re never too old to build. Friendly, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of geeky, Brian brings both expertise and personality to every project he leads.
John Slawek is a distinguished Project Manager at Gibson Sound & Vision in Waterloo, excelling in his role since joining the team in January 2018. He holds an Economics degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Certified Control4 Programmer and Pakedge Certified Networking Professional. John specializes in home theater setups, high-fidelity stereo systems, and public address systems, making him a valuable asset in the audio industry.
Beyond his professional achievements, John is an avid musician, playing bass and singing in two bands: the funk ensemble SmackJive and the Pink Floyd tribute band Have A Cigar. His musical passion enriches his technical work with a unique artistic perspective.
In his leisure time, John enjoys playing recreational sports including hockey and slo-pitch softball, and spending time with family and friends. His diverse interests and dedication to his career make John a well-rounded and dynamic professional.”
Jorge Olivares is a seasoned AV professional with over a decade of experience in designing, implementing, and managing advanced audio-visual solutions. Known for his commitment to excellence and innovation, he has earned a reputation as a reliable expert in the field, serving clients from small businesses to large corporations.
Starting with a passion for technology, Jorge has honed his skills in system integration, project management, and technical support. His hands-on approach and attention to detail ensure the highest standards in every project.
Jorge is also recognized for his problem-solving abilities and staying ahead of industry trends by attending conferences and workshops. Outside of work, he is an avid gamer, enjoys regular workouts, and cherishes time with his dog, bringing balance to his dynamic life.

Having almost a decade of experience in our industry, Cameron prides himself on advanced system design, proper solution selection, and intense attention to detail. Starting his time with Gibson Sound and Vision in 2021, he has produced a stable and reliable track record, proving he’s always there to offer the best solution for your project.
Despite the immense effort he puts into work, outside of work he enjoys gaming, spending time with his family, working out, and playing soccer, but his favorite pastime is food. As a culinary school graduate, he truly enjoys finding new places to eat and summer BBQs with loved ones.
With extensive knowledge in audio-video products, home automation programming, technical support, and customer service, Cameron is an incredible asset to any project.
